The Ritedose Corporation (TRC) facility recognized with an Eagle Award by the Associated Builders and Contractors, Carolinas Chapter
Miller-Valentine Construction proudly accepted an Eagle Award for work completed for The Ritedose Corporation (TRC) at the Excellence in Construction (EIC) awards ceremony held by the Associated Builders and Contractors, Carolinas Chapter.
The EIC program is the industry’s leading competition that honors both general and specialty contractors for innovative and high-quality Merit Shop construction projects. The winning projects, selected from entries submitted from ABC members located in North Carolina and South Carolina, were judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety, and cost.
“The ABC Excellence in Construction Program showcases the quality construction done day-in and day-out in our communities by the industry’s leading companies throughout the country,” said Angela Latino, CEO of the ABC Carolinas Chapter.
This design/build industrial warehouse project represents the first standalone expansion for The Ritedose Corporation. It consists of a 153,000 SF insulated pre-cast concrete warehouse with interior office build-out, future mezzanine space, and associated site improvements. Building amenities include minimum 28-foot clear height, 50-foot x 50-foot column bay spacing, two loading docks to maximize product inflow and out, 5,000 SF of mezzanine space for future office build-out and utility infrastructure for extensive production line expansion as the facility comes on line. Site amenities include ample car parking, two loading dock truck courts, drive-in ramp, and on-site detention. The TRC Expansion project began earthwork operations in January of 2018 with a firm, 31-week scheduled deadline. The facility was substantially completed on August 28, 2018, two weeks ahead of the contracted schedule.
The Ritedose Corporation (TRC) is a full-service pharmaceutical company that utilizes blow-fill-seal packaging technology for pharmaceutical distribution. This new facility will allow TRC to consolidate its packaging & process lines under one roof, streamlining its overall quality control and delivering processes.
