Humane Society of Greater Dayton

With a pressing need to expand its existing facility to better serve the Miami Valley, the Humane Society of Greater Dayton developed a phased plan for strategic growth. Miller Valentine served as a trusted advisor, guiding the client through the design, preconstruction, and construction process.

Using the design-build method, Miller Valentine worked alongside all project team members to ensure the client’s needs were met and to minimize disruption to existing operations during construction. The project enabled the Humane Society to triple its existing space with the addition of an animal wellness center, spay and neuter clinic, and an animal

In addition to providing expansive, state-of-the-art facilities, the construction process supplied the shelter with a pipeline of families for animals that needed homes. Several members of the construction team adopted pets, underscoring their investment in our clients and community.
