Miller Valentine Construction is pleased to announce the construction of a new 227,000 SF facility for The Ritedose Corporation in Columbia, SC. Founded in 1995 in Columbia, S.C., The Ritedose Corporation is an industry leader in pharmaceutical development, aseptic cGMP manufacturing, and 503B outsourcing solutions, and has mastered blow-fill-seal (BFS) technology to ensure sterile, efficient, consistent and safe unit dose delivery. This marks our second collaboration with Ritedose, following the completion of a 153,000 SF production facility in 2018.

Ritedose recently acquired approximately 100 acres surrounding its existing 153,000 SF facility, paving the way for the construction of a new warehouse, and allowing for future campus expansion. Construction is set to commence next week, with completion expected by December 2024.

Key features of the new building include:

  • Insulated precast wall panels
  • 5,000 SF of administrative office space
  • 5,000 SF mezzanine designated as a Vocational Training Center
  • Clear heights of 28 feet
  • ESFR Fire Suppression System
  • Flow-through racking system for efficient product storage
  • Temperature and humidity control within ± 2°F for the entire warehouse
  • Two loading docks designed to facilitate smooth product flow-through

A notable highlight is the incorporation of a 5,000 SF Vocational Training Center on the mezzanine. This unique space addresses Ritedose’s need for a large assembly area capable of accommodating training sessions for up to 200 employees simultaneously – a one-of-a-kind feature within the entire campus.

Our project partners include Thomas & Hutton Civil Engineering, SEED Architecture, LJB Structural Engineers, Mechanical Engineering Consulting Associates (MECA), and GWA Electrical Engineers.

The Miller Valentine Project Team includes Zach Ward (Sr. Project Manager), Dalton Kolodziej (Project Manager), TC Cooner (Asst. Project Manager), and Andy Eiginger (Superintendent).
