Miller Valentine Construction has broken ground on Project Sunshine, a $32 million, 640,640 square foot speculative industrial facility located in Groveport, Ohio.

The project is being developed by CA Ventures in partnership with Stotan Industrial. Based in Chicago, Illinois, CA is a global real estate investment management company. Stotan is a private-equity-based industrial real estate acquisition and development firm that is headquartered in Rosemont, Illinois.

The companies spent nearly a year looking for the right location before landing on Groveport. The industrial park offers convenient highway access and is central to both Rickenbacker Airport and John Glenn Columbus International Airport. In addition, the City of Groveport is pro-business, pro-industrial, and pro-growth, creating a good partner for the firms.

The company chose Miller Valentine based on the strength of its portfolio and ability to build certainty for its clients. With the market dynamics affecting the construction materials supply chain, working as a collaborative and transparent partnership is critical to delivering a successful project.

While the project’s anticipated completion date isn’t until early fall of 2022, Project Sunshine is already attracting potential tenants. The level of interest speaks to the Columbus region’s strength as a hub for manufacturing and distribution centers.
